Wow, I actually have some flowers and greenery!

I love geraniums. Shockingly, these are 2 years old, a record for me as I definitely do not have a green thumb. These are on my backyard patio.

These are Belinda's Dream roses; the bush has been loaded, was just planted this Spring. I really like them so far. They are recommended by Texas A&M for Gulf Coast gardens.

This is my front flowerbed. I'm really enjoying the blooms, never had a flowerbed before in my life. It's about time, and back-bending labor. Planted lots of Knock-out roses, though you can't really see them in this photo. They are fantastic, easy maintenance, tough -- they have to be to survive around me. The yellow blooms are Texas Star (Esperanza) up higher; I'm trying to train it into little trees. The lower yellow blooms are some kind of tough little daisy type thing. Note the Belinda's Dream roses located here.

Hello, people, we're headed for Ireland.

Will be traveling in May 2007. Flying into Dublin, renting a car, driving all around . . . which will certainly be different. The planning has been fun. Will stay in B&Bs. So far, the country seems very expensive, green, cool, and wet. Breakfasts don't seem too tempting . . . especially after we researched the recipes for some of those dishes. But, the sites are tempting . . . a castle, tower, cross, or tomb around every bend according to the guidebooks. Will post pics and tips here during or after the trip.
